How it works

How every role works together on one order.

HealthiatRx is a dispensing platform. Each role sets up once, then every prescription becomes an order that fulfills itself and pays everyone who took part.

Organizations build offers with distributors. You pick the best one.

Before the first order

Each role sets up once.

After that, the platform runs every order within the rules each role has set.

Prescribers

Join, set a target price and margin where they dispense, and choose the open-market organizations they trust.

Organizations

Team up with a distributor, choose who the offer is for, how they contribute, an optional administrative fee and their limits.

Distributors

Load the catalog, set prices and delivery, and choose the organizations they work with.

Patients

Sign in and link the memberships they belong to: employer, health plan, grocery store, gym.

Operators

Configure the branded platform for their category: name, domain, prescription model and rules.

One order, step by step

From prescription to payment.

Who acts at each step, and what the platform does behind it.

  1. 01 Prescriber

    The prescription is written

The prescriber examines the patient and writes the prescription on the platform, or it is verified with them.

The platform records exactly what was prescribed, so every offer is built around it and nothing else.

  2. 02 OrganizationDistributor

    Offers are ready

Organizations have teamed up with distributors on offers: the distributor supplies the product, the organization chips in savings for its people and can include an administrative fee.

Offers are built once and matched to every prescription they fit. Organizations set who qualifies and their limits.

  3. 03 Patient

    The patient compares and chooses

The patient sees every offer they qualify for, side by side, each with one all-inclusive price, and picks one.

Membership offers from the patient's own organizations appear next to open-market offers from organizations their prescriber trusts.

  4. 04 Distributor

    The order is fulfilled

The distributor ships exactly what was prescribed, from a validated prescription.

Licensed pharmacies dispense medications. Delivery is included in the price.

  5. 05 Platform

Everyone is paid, in real time

The patient pays once. The platform pays the distributor, the prescriber's margin, the organization's administrative fee and the platform fee, and draws the organization's contribution. No claims to process.

One payment in, every participant paid out in real time, on every order. No claim processing, no reimbursement wait.

  6. 06 PrescriberPatient

    Reorders come back

Renewal and reorder reminders bring the patient back to their prescriber, and the cycle starts again with fresh offers.

A fresh best offer every time, instead of yesterday's price on autopay.

Who works with whom

The relationships behind every offer.

Organization + Distributor

Build offers together. The distributor brings the product and price; the organization funds savings for its people.

Prescriber + Organization

The prescriber chooses which open-market organizations it trusts to serve its patients.

Prescriber + Patient

The prescription starts every order, and renewals and reorders bring the patient back.

Patient + Organization

Patients link their memberships once, and their organizations' offers appear automatically.

Distributor + Patient

The distributor fulfills exactly what was prescribed, delivery included.

Operator + HealthiatRx

The operator runs the branded platform for its category; HealthiatRx provides and runs the technology.

FAQ

Questions about how it works

Is HealthiatRx a pharmacy, a supplier or an insurer?
No. HealthiatRx is the technology: a dispensing platform. Licensed professionals prescribe, licensed pharmacies and distributors fulfill, and organizations design their own offers. The platform connects them and pays everyone.
Does the prescriber have to change how they work?
No. They examine the patient and prescribe. Prescriptions are written on the platform or verified with them.
How does a patient see the offers?
On the branded platform for their category, like visionprescription.org. Membership offers from organizations they belong to appear next to open-market offers from organizations their prescriber trusts, each with one all-inclusive price.
Do savings from different organizations combine?
Not yet. Today each offer stands on its own and the patient picks the best one. Combining savings from more than one source on a single order is coming next.
Can one company take more than one role?
Yes, where appropriate. A manufacturer can also be a distributor, for example. The prescriber role is different because it requires the authority to prescribe.
How do I reach a real person?
Email info@healthiatrx.com. Real humans on our team answer every message.

Bring your care category to the platform.

Tell us what you prescribe, who helps pay for it, and who delivers it. We'll show you what your platform looks like.
